Gerson Therapy
Gerson Therapy is a little known treatment that detoxifies the body, and thus stimulates the body’s immune system to heal itself and maintain health. This treatment has been proven to work, and is a natural process that heals many degenerative diseases including arthritis, heart disease, cancer, and allergies. Whole Body Approach To Healing “I see in Dr. Gerson one of the most eminent geniuses in the history of medicine.”—Albert Schwitzer, M.D. Consumption of organic juices on a daily basis provide the necessary nutrients, enzymes, and minerals that the body requires to function properly. Enemas are also used to detoxify the liver. This comprehensive approach produces no adverse side effects. For over sixty (60) years this treatment has been effective in “curing the incurable”. This has been documented in respected medical literature with over two hundred (200) articles. Basic cleansing and boosting the activity of our immune system is a straightforward process, but the therapy itself is quite complex. Much attention to detail is required in order to produce positive results. Over the years, many people have successfully employed the therapy on their own, but therapy is provided at licensed treatment centers of the Gerson Institute. Gerson therapy floods the body with nutrients from organically grown fruits and vegetables. Oxygenation increases significantly, and intensive detoxification reactivates the immune system by eliminating wastes and regenerating the liver. The body’s mineral, enzyme and hormonal systems are then able to function adequately. Revolutionary Therapy When first introduced over sixty years ago by Max Gerson, M.D., there was not a lot of interest and knowledge of alternative, natural healing methods as there is today. Dietary therapy was practically non-existent in the scientific literature of the time, and even today medical schools do not devout a large amount of their curriculum to nutrition. And when addressing chronic and infectious diseases, this therapy was not recognized by the scientific community. But as the therapy continued to establish itself in the medical field by curing many cases of heart disease and advanced tuberculosis, it provided a major contribution to medical science. Several articles in peer reviewed medical literature began to appear in the 1940s. In 1945, close to forty years before the official U.S. National Cancer Institute Program on diet, nutrition, and cancer, Gerson published an article on treating cancer through dietary means.
Max Gerson continued his work by refining his therapy up to his death in 1959 at the age of 78. Dr. Albert Schweitzer was his most famous patient, of whom he cured of advanced diabetes. Gerson was inducted into the Orthomolecular Medicine Hall of Fame on May 14, 2005 in Ottawa, Canada. Max said “stay close to nature and its eternal laws will protect you.” He saw degenerative diseases resulting from degraded and toxic water, food, and air. Modern packaged foods with their many chemical additives contribute greatly to this. One parenting tip is to investigate alternative options before making any important decisions. Do this before deciding upon bipolar medications or any type of meds for your child. Choose a therapy or process that makes sense to you. Most family physicians are unaware, and sometimes hostile toward, alternative therapies. It important to treat the cause of the dysfunction or disease, and not only the symptoms. Gerson Therapy most definitely treats the cause of the disease, and is one of the most comprehensive treatments for disease available by restoring the body’s ability to heal itself.
