Exhilaration Magic

And put our fears away

Letting go of this

Letting go of that

Needless baggage

That keeps us trapped

Locked inside

Each and everyone

Is the key

To having fun

A child knows better

Than most any adult

That everyday Drama

Will drive us nuts

Rushing here

And rushing there

Is the perfect formula

For much wear and tear

Forgetting what it feels like

To be totally free

Exploring the moment

Excited by what we see

So many years

Have come and gone

Accumulating perceptions and beliefs

Forgetting about our tender song

Acting like the walking dead

Going through the motions

Doing our best

To avoid what we dread

Living unconsciously

Through our habits and fears

Turning this way and that

For someone who cares

Feeling so isolated

Like an adopted child

Looking for ways

To break loose and go wild

Overreacting and trying too hard

Not only makes us look foolish

But keeps us on guard

Not everyone is aware

Of their individual plight

As these perceptions and fears

Are able to stay out of sight

So waking ourselves up

Is our primary goal

It’s the only way

To feed our Soul

Many people think

This has to be hard

But new thoughts and ideas appear

While relaxing in the backyard

Many folks experience a break

Unable to cope

They choose to medicate

Schizophrenia medication

Will not even help

It only drowns out our memories

And keeps our feelings locked up

Breaking down barriers

Coming face to face

To these hidden antagonists

Is what it all takes

There’s no easy way out

To be totally free

Our prison is self created

We’ve forgotten how to “Be”

All of this Magic

Will quickly appear

As soon as we let go

And release all our fear

Feeling exhilarated day to day

Appreciating each moment

And cherishing all the Love

Is the only Way
