Cause and Effect
Cause and effect is a principle that has tremendous power, but has been largely taken for granted or simply ignored. It’s like having the key to all the health and abundance in the universe, and not believing that life can be that simple once a few rules are followed. Before getting into this more deeply, let me just comment about the power of love. The Golden Rule is prevalent in all religions and philosophies. I believe the Persian poet, Rumi, puts it best: Love is the cure For your pain will keep giving birth to more pain Until your eyes constantly exhale love As effortlessly as your body yields its scent. The Key We can all change our experience through our thoughts, visions and the energy of love. Joy, prosperity, and health are available right now if we would only let go of some of the nonsense in our heads. Thoughts backed up by our emotions are what create our experience. It is no more complicated than that. Think right now of an experience that you wish to create, or relationship you desire to heal. Close your eyes and relax. Take a few deep breaths. Imagine the desired experience or healed relationship. Just have the intention, and don’t worry about how good the image is. See yourself interacting in the desired way, and feel a positive emotion about what is occurring. Now celebrate the accomplishment or transformation in the relationship. This is an example of the positive use of cause and effect. It is really not more complicated than this. Read all the books, listen to all the CDs, attend all the workshops, and you will not advance any further than you will when you decide to do what is necessary to make a change in your life. Repeat that exercise a few times a week until it feels real for you. Once you can really feel and imagine what your desired condition is, it will occur. It’s just a matter of time. Trust and expect it to happen. I have seen tremendous change occur whether working with an ADHD child or defiant children. It works for everyone who will take the time to trust and apply. There is so much more good stuff relevant to cause and effect, and the realities of transformation. I will save this for later, and include a lot of pertinent info in future pages. You do not need any more details to make a difference in your life. If you want to learn about ancient rites and formulas, which makes for an interesting read, there are plenty of sources available. I am most concerned that you and every member of your family make authentic progress and change. Let me conclude with the poem “The Arrow and the Song” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow written in 1845: I shot an arrow into the air It fell to earth, I knew not where; For, so swiftly it flew, the sight Could not follow it in its flight. I breathed a song into the air, It fell to earth, I knew not where; For who has sight so keen and strong, That it can follow the flight of a song? Long, afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroken: And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend
