Barbara Marx Hubbard

Barbara Marx Hubbard was born in 1929. She is a writer, public speaker, and futurist. She is a social innovator, who as the President of The Foundation of Conscious Evolution, has created a new development path to the next stage of human evolution.

Background

Barbara graduated from Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Political Science. She also studied at L'Ecole des Sciences Politiques at La Sorbonne in Paris during her junior year of college.

In the 1960’s she published a newsletter on evolutionary transformation, which was one of the first of its kind. She collaborated with Abraham H. Maslow, founder of Humanistic Psychology on this. She also was one of the original contributors to the Salk Institute while working with Dr. Jonas Salk.

She co-founded The Committee for the Future in the 1970’s in Washington D.C.. She has brought together people from every possible field and profession to match needs and resources based on common goals. She helped found the World Future Society, and was awarded the first Doctorate in Conscious Evolution by the Emerson Institute.

She has written five books, and has been featured in the 2006 film Entheogen: Awakening the Divine Within, a documentary about rediscovering an enchanted cosmos in the modern world. She is also credited with the evolutionary concept of ‘The Synergy Engine’, which is an internet based tool for co-creation.

Innovative Change

In order to connect the large group of evolving humans now arising in every culture, field, and tradition, Barbara is creating a new vehicle, The Communion of Pioneering Souls. A new series of videos entitled “Humanity Ascending: A New Way through Together” is being developed.

Barbara is a member of the Jonas Salk Foundation's Epoch B group. As part of this group, Dr. Hubbard is working to understand and catalyze the actions needed to navigate a quantum change to avoid global collapse. With Reverend Jim Lockard, she is working on the synthesis of the principles and practices of Conscious Evolution and New Thought.

As a founder and member of the Santa Barbara Conscious Evolution Community, she is initiating the SYNCON Process, for synergistic convergence to overcome the polarization in the United States. Barbara is helping to bring together opposing groups to seek common goals, interests, and match needs and resources at the expanding edge of the sciences and psychologies. Her websites are global communication hubs for the conscious evolution of humanity.

Barbara Marx Hubbard is an innovator with an expanding vision of what is possible for humanity. Children behavior can be guided positively along these lines by connecting our kids to this type of vision. Any disruptive behavior disorder can be remedied by awakening the child’s divinity within. Barbara has created a map for us to follow, which will guide us in co-creating a more enlightened and compassionate society.
